Year End Weakness Is Bearish

It's unusual to see heavy selling into year end and it does not bode well for 2026.

PRE-OPEN MARKET COMMENTS FRIDAY - Yesterday the market sold off hard after a bullish event. The government reopened after being shut down for more than 40 days. We have been flying blind without any economic data and conditions were deteriorating before the shutdown. It would be safe to say that they are even worse now and analysts are projecting that Q4 GDP will be lower by 1.5% because of the shutdown.
